Membership Fees

Please do not make any payment before contacting the club to confirm membership and training, there may be restricted sessions per week available due to capacity.

There is a one-off joining fee of £20 on initial joining. Monthly membership fees are due at the beginning of each calendar month and the amount depends on the number of training sessions per week.

1 session per week: £23.10/month

2 sessions per week: £46.20/month

3 sessions per week: £63.50/month

4 sessions per week: £75.00/month

Retention: Swimmers who need to take time off from training for work, education, maternity/paternity or injury reasons are able to hold their place in the club with a £5/month retention fee. This means that their membership will be placed on hold but that the will be a guaranteed place for them on return to training. Swimmers should give advance notice of 1 month (where possible) and retention cannot extend beyond 3 months except for maternity or extenuating circumstances.

Swim England Registration

In addition to monthly membership fees, all swimmers training in a club environment are required to be Swim England Registered as this is how the club and its swimmers are insured for training activities. Swim England fees are set by the Regional and National Governing Bodies and cover from 1 Jan to 31 Dec. Members joining after 1 Oct are generally entitled to a discount.

There are different categories of Swim England membership, as follows:

Club Train (Formerly Cat 1): This membership is for swimmers training in a club environment who do not intend to compete. £18 for 2026.

Club Compete (Formerly Cat 2): This membership is for swimmers training in a club environment who also wish to compete at local, regional and national level masters and open meets. £44.50 for 2026.

Club Support (Formerly Cat 3): This membership is for non-swimming club members, such as volunteers who do not train, or compete. There are no Club Support roles at SD Trojan SC.

Please note: As of 1 Oct each year, Swim England generally discounts fees for the remainder of the year. The actual amount due will be passed when published.
